• Annual Ryegrass Toxicity (ARGT) Survey

Modernising Detection, Risk Prediction and Management of ARGT in Western Australia
  • We are investigating where ARGT occurs, how producers manage the risk, its impact on farm businesses, and how detection and prediction tools could be improved. Your input is valuable whether or not you've experienced ARGT. This survey takes about 5–7 minutes. Responses are analysed in aggregate – individual farm information will be anonymous. We will not share any identifying information without prior permission.

You can opt in to receive a free ARGT ELISA test kit (limited availability) – details at the end of the survey. This can help you to find out the current and reliable ARGT status of a paddock or hay sample and helps us gather up to date information for ARGT distribution and levels.

    Collection Notice

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is committed to protecting your privacy. We are collecting your personal information (including your name, contact details and property locality, where provided) to provide a free ARGT test kit (where requested), contact you about future project activities (if you have opted in), and support the Modernising Detection, Risk Prediction and Management of Annual Ryegrass Toxicity (ARGT) in Western Australia project. Survey responses and ARGT test results will be analysed and reported in a de-identified form. Providing your personal information is voluntary and is only required if you wish to receive a free ARGT test kit or be contacted about future research. You have the right to access and correct your personal information held by the department. To do so, please contact us by visiting our website at www.dpird.wa.gov.au/privacy.
