  • Equal opportunity

    • Why we ask these questions
    • We collect demographic information to support fair, inclusive and transparent appointments to the State Design Review Membership Pool. In line with the Premier’s Circular 2025/15, we are required to work toward 50% representation of women on State Government boards and committees.

The State Government Boards and Committees Guidelines also encourage broader diversity in representation, including age, cultural background, disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander representation, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Collecting this information helps us understand who is applying and whether our processes are reaching a wide and diverse range of people.

    • How your information is used
      • Gender information is shared with the evaluation panel to support compliance with the Premier's Circular 2025/15 gender target.
      • Other demographic information (such as cultural background, disability status, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity) is not used to assess individual applications.
      • These additional details are used internally to:
        • monitor the diversity of applicants
        • identify gaps in representation
        • improve future outreach and recruitment practices
        • support the Government’s broader commitment to diversity in board membership

Your demographic information will not be used to disadvantage or discriminate against you.
